Job Posting: Clinical Lab Scientist Pay : $44.25 - $61.96 USD per hour Location : Porterville, CA 93257, USA Shift : Full-time, Variable Shifts (10-hour shifts) Sign-On Bonus : $10K (for candidates with 3+ years of experience as a CLS) Job Description We are seeking a skilled and motivated Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will perform a variety of lab tests and procedures, ensuring the accuracy of results and reporting findings to physicians and medical staff. The CLS will work under the direction of the Lab Director and Lab Manager, providing expertise across multiple areas of the laboratory, including Chemistry, Blood Bank, Hematology, Microbiology, and more. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform waived, moderately complex, and highly complex testing in multiple laboratory areas (e.g., Chemistry, Blood Bank, Hematology, Microbiology, etc.) Conduct daily quality control procedures and implement corrective actions as necessary Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and repairs on laboratory equipment Communicate abnormal findings to physicians, nursing staff, and pathologists as required Supervise laboratory procedures and test result reporting in the absence of the Director or CLS Lead Maintain accurate documentation and logs related to patient care and lab processes Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards Participate in emergency situations and community disasters as needed Maintain a professional, cooperative attitude and work well under pressure to meet deadlines Qualifications: Education : Bachelor's degree in a science-related field or completion of a California-approved CLS training program Licensure : Current California Experience in Clinical laboratory experience in a clinical laboratory setting; completion of a CLS Trainee Program Skills : Basic computer proficiency, ability to interpret lab procedures and safety rules, and strong written and verbal communication skills Patient Population : This role serves a diverse patient population, including geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and newborn patients.
