  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Pediatric nurse for a travel contract.
    • Job Requirements
    • The right candidate will have 3 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, PALS and CA License.
      • Schedule Information
      • Contract length: 13 weeks
      • Shifts/Hours: 12 hours; 7a - 7:30p/7p - 7:30a
      • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
      • Holidays: 2 of the major
      • Breaks: 1/2 hour break (clock-out); 3 - 15 min breaks per shift
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Ratios: 4 to 1 both days/nights
        • Charge RN: Yes, do not take patients
        • Nurse Aides: Yes, based on census on how many
        • Scrub Color: Navy
        • Floating: To PICU for low acuity and burn ICU for appropriate level of care peds.
        • Types of patients: Respiratory distress, appendectomy, dehydration, DKA, seizures, general surgeries only
        • Additional Notes: Ages up to 13, however will take older developmentally challenged patients; use medfusion pumps
        • Must be able to start their own IV's, strong clinical skills.

          • NO FIRST TIME TRAVELERS
          • Perm address must not be within 50 mi - the hospital can request proof and within 2 days we must provide a copy of the DL and copies of 2 utility bills and or telephone bill.
          • Must pass math test with a 95% after offer.
